Shannon used to play cards with me.  When we were first married, we would play a lot.  And he would win.   A lot.  I mean all the time.  He loves to tell the story of how I would get so frustrated that I would throw the cards and yell at him.  And I’m really not a competitive person.  But it gets really old never winning.  Now, I’ve learned in our time together that this is just who he is.  An incredibly smart guy who can learn and figure anything out.  It’s one of the things I love about him.  His game plan for anything is to study and perfect until he’s the best at something.  He’s always done this and it always works.  I can start out winning and by the time he’s done something a few times, he’s figured out how to be better and ends up winning.  All the time.  Until tonight!

And then, because what else do you do as a parent but give on your special day, we headed to the store and got the boys a bike upgrade!

I’m so proud of how far my little man has come this season.  He did such a great job learning and growing in skill this Tball season.  Tonight wrapped his first year up with a great game and a little celebration afterwards complete with his first-ever earned medal.

I’m happy to report that this will not be his last year. He thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the season.

As fun as a slip ‘n slide is, we usually end up getting it out only once a summer.  So here’s this year’s fun!
