I didn’t take my annual picture with Mac on his 14th birthday. 🙁 But we did have a great time celebrating him at his favorite restaurant!

With one kid grounded from video games and the other extremely tired from a sleepover the night before, I forced the boys to the pumpkin patch with me. They came around and I think Mac even smiled a little while we were carving!

Patrick has been asking lately to see certain animals. He was telling me the other day that he would like to see ocean animals…sharks…and giraffes…and walruses…and it occurred to me that my children don’t remember all of the trips and experiences I gave them when they were little! I took them to zoos, aquariums and such all the time. I have pictures to prove it. As a matter of fact, at the last zoo, I decided we were done. It was a ton of walking and I’d done my duty. They had seen all the zoo animals. Then, this. They forgot it all!

So we packed up the family over this last long weekend and headed (back) to the Indy zoo. Again. 🙂 On the coolest day of the year to date.
