I love this time of year…when I’ve had enough of winter. I’m ready for the sun and the days that warm up give me such a renewed sense of hope and excitement for summer coming (read a couple of months off from work).
This year summer prep included work in our yard, the screened in porch and helping mom get her new gorgeous patio planters planted.

For my annual birthday trip to Wrigley, we went in April! Nicki and I stayed at Hotel Zachary again and had another incredible view. The weather was calling for it to be quite cold, the only downfall to attending a spring game and not a summer game. Luckily, Shannon had a guys trip to Chicago the weekend before and so he did some shopping and set me up with the appropriate clothing!

My boys requested an egg hunt again this year. I really thought they had outgrown it, but I was happy to comply!
He’s 13. He had a great day and then dinner with his people. One of his favorite people, Lukie, even came in town for his dinner! He was thrilled.
