I Wonder Who This Is?!

Parent teacher conferences were great.  Mac is doing really well this year.  He really seems to be settling into the routine of school and the behavior that is acceptable.  His teacher seems quite content with him in her class.  I did clarify about his reading level.  He is not in the low, but middle group. I guess I can be okay with that.  As Shannon said, we can work with that. 🙂  Now on to the fun stuff…wall art!  I wonder who this could be?  Answer to follow at the end of the post.

His handwriting is coming along so nicely!  I commented to his teacher that he does so much better for her.  She obviously demands their best and he performs for her.

Since our boys will probably never have a dog of their own, this assignment got a little tricky.  They were to write a story about their pet and send in a picture.  Obviously Mac chose Woof Woof.  So along with all the adorable pictures of kids and their real pets, there’s Mac with his little stuffed dog.  It was quite heart catching to see, but I know he’s still very proud of his work AND his Woof Woof, real or not. (He’s totally real around here and very much a part of our family, so it does work out well to say he’s his pet.)

And now what you’ve been waiting for…the answer to the mystery kid:

Keepsake

Remember when I decided that instead of keeping all the cute things the boys make, I would take a pic to remember? So, I took a pic of Mac’s cute little horse?

Well, Patrick brought home this adorable sheep this week.  So, I’m just following my resolution and recording this project that is in the kitchen for a short while.

Just a Bunch of Things

Over the past month, I’ve taken several pics and had blog posts in mind for them.  So I’ll put a few in this post to catch you up.

The weather is changing quickly around here.  Some mornings, I can’t keep up with if the boys should be wearing shorts or pants.  One morning was pretty cold (30’s when we left the house, I believe) and they both got to school in shorts and t-shirts.  Luckily, we did have jackets in the car, but still.  They both assured me they were fine, but when we got home, look what they dug out for their puppies.  This was them the next morning.  Needless to say, both boys also had pants on.

Patrick brought home this fun book. I remember when Mac brought his home, so this one made me smile to read the same facts, but about my baby this time.

Mac has Spanish every Monday at school.  So we’re practicing as a family each list that comes home.  Our His first quiz:

Just because I love to watch my babies sleep.

Mac had spirit week at school.  This was crazy hat and crazy sock day.

We were invited over to Grandma and Grandpa Rapp’s house for Daddy’s birthday.  On the way, Grandpa called and asked if we could bring a bag of ice.  Mac ran inside and said, “I got the bag of ice!” Melt my heart. 🙂

I was watching them from my chair last night and had a flashback to when they first started playing together in this spot.

Then

Now

Mac doing spelling homework! He’s on his second list.  He missed one word on the first list due to a handwriting issue.  Hopefully he won’t fight me anymore on the proper formation of an ‘a’!

And then just a few fun pics from the new Kingdom Kids space at church.
