Chinese Yoyo Skills

So the boys have come home from school with a new hobby learned from the kids at recess…the Chinese yoyo…???

I didn’t know what it was. Now I know. Here’s Mac showing me The Elevator. 🙂

My goofballs. :)

My goofballs. 🙂

Despite these cute pics, this was not a great day for us.  Both boys started the day off not listening to me, telling me ‘no’ when asked to do things and fighting with me and each other. I wasn’t feeling great as a mother at all. Thankfully, they had presents (and the unconditional, never ending love of a mother going for them).

I’d like to thank Shannon for always being there. Always making it better. Being the perfect partner for me as we parent these two rambunctious boys. They drive us absolutely nuts every single day, yet we’re still crazy in love with them and wouldn’t change our life for the world. 🙂

Opening Day 2016

Opening Day arrived along with a forecast of rain. All day. It rained all through pictures in the morning. Then took a break and cleared up for lunch and round one of the parade.

Then poured, and I mean poured down rain, for the second half of the parade.

It’s the Happiest Time of the Year

I sing that now as I’m typing this post, but I have to say that it’s really the busiest time of the year. Man, we have few free evenings these days with baseball going and honestly, some days I pray for rainouts. But then I watch my boys play and I remember it’s worth it. Two games ago, Mac was the first runner and run scored for his team and made a great catch to end the game. Last night, he had a great hit that brought in 2 runs (with two outs in the last inning)!

*Side note: Patrick’s games don’t start until next week. I love watching him play, too, just haven’t had a chance yet! Video of him to come soon!

Baby Ducks

I had never seen a baby chick/duckling/gosling, anything hatch.  So it was exciting to walk into the kindergarten room the other day as two duck eggs were about to hatch! If you choose to watch, mute your sound. It’s just a bunch of teachers talking and wasting time together. Nothing to listen to. 🙂

And the goslings that hatched last week.
