Dance Like a Chipmunk

I’m not really sure how to explain this.  Patrick has the most interesting dance.  Keep in mind as you watch it that it has been inspired by female dancers…well, female chipmunks that is.  He has watched the Chipmunks Squeakquel so many times and every time he tries to copy the Chipettes’ dance moves.  One of the clips lost it’s sound (crazy camera!) but it was cute, so I still put it in there.  So…here it is:

New Evenings

We finally got a back yard fire pit.

Anticipation!

It was the perfect evening, for the first 20 minutes, then the kids got restless and Shannon and I got frustrated.  Think we’ll stick to it just for dates. 🙂

“Sweet Corn Festibal”

Mac’s last countdown before his birthday:  the Sweet Corn Festibal.  We had a great evening eating corn, playing games and touching trucks!

He was more excited last year about being an ear of corn...

I am sad to say I completely forgot to bring my camera along!  Luckily, Shannon remembered his and caught the evening for me!  I’ve stolen a few of his pics here, but you can see all of them here.

The Blowing Thing

Good or bad? Not sure yet.

We live in a newer subdivision and at the sales office for the homes, they advertise by putting out a blowing banner.  Mac started our family obsession with it by getting very excited every time he saw what he called ‘the blowing thing’.  He has passed the excitement on to his brother and they eagerly look for it when entering the neighborhood.  Recently, the sales office has moved…right next to us.  So we have a great view of the blowing thing every day.  While this sounds great (as I thought when I first showed the boys), it also has it’s down side.  This is what we did for what felt like an hour.  Stood and watched it.

Last Summer Trip

We decided to do one more fun outing for the summer, so the boys and I went to the Indianapolis Zoo with the Pritts girls and Jude (I keep forgetting to include Jude and it’s bothering my boys!).  The weather was gorgeous and the boys enjoyed not only seeing the animals, but also playing at the splash pad at the end of the day.  The highlight of the day for me: getting to touch a shark!

See many more pics from the trip here.
