Merry Christmas!
See all of Christmas here and here. I didn’t take too many, but Shannon’s are great.
With Friends! We had the girls and Jude over for our Christmas fun night. It was a late night, but a great success. We shared dinner, made ornaments and painted them.

There are tons more photos of each kid making their own.
I am not a giver. I am a receiver. It’s a sad reality, but it’s who I am. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t enjoy giving presents, I just really love receiving presents. I still get that excitement when I see a wrapped present and know it’s for me. It doesn’t really even matter what it is, I just love to open presents. So when both of my boys brought home presents from school for Shannon and me, I was excited. Then, when we opened them, I was beyond thrilled. Look at these adorable presents from my boys.
I always wondered if parents truly liked the gifts I have my students make each year. I was hoping they weren’t just junk items parents waited to throw away. I now know that they LOVE them and cherish these great personal gifts. I know I will. Even when my boys are grown and gone to their own houses (although, Mac promises he’ll live right down the street from me when he grows up! I’m gonna hold him to that!).
So begins our winter. With our first snow (read: cold) day, I decided it was time to make our Christmas cookies.

The boys are finally at an age that is fun! They each were able to completely cut and decorate their own cookies!! I had time for my peanut butter blossoms. 🙂
