The McMahon Family

As we’re walking out the door (already two minutes late), Mac announces that he needs a hat and gloves or he won’t be allowed to go outside at recess.  So I rummage through our gloves and hats from last year, but can’t find anything! I told him I couldn’t find them, so he’ll just have to stay inside today and we’ll get new ones this weekend.  But the tears start.  I can’t make my baby stay inside while all his friends are at recess.  And of course, whatever Mac does, Patrick has to do, too.  So here’s what we ended up with.

Hats too small and holes in mismatched gloves…At least they were warm. 🙂

See the left nostril??  See that it’s closed??  Why am I pointing this out?  No, I haven’t gone crazy.  Mac can sniff.  He can breathe through his nose.  He used to be so congested that when he sniffed, nothing happened except the sound of blockage.  Now, he can sniff and air gets in enough to close his nostrils!!  Isn’t it funny what excites me these days? 🙂 Thank you, Jesus for medicine.

He’s six.  I cannot believe it.  While he seems so old, especially since he’s started school, I still remember when he was born so vividly that it seems like just last year.  Such a strange thing.  Thank you so much to all the family and friends who helped us celebrate our wonderful Doodle.  He’s one very blessed little boy.  Without further ado, I present Mac’s Sixth Birthday Party.

Oh and because I’m a rockin cool mom, I found the Transformer font and put it on his party favors that went to school.  Not sure any of the kids appreciated it (or even Mac) but I certainly felt cool! 🙂

This year on October 31, we got together with the Pritts family again to do some fun arts and crafts.  The kids are beginning to question not trick or treating, so it’s been fun to have another family to celebrate life with the way we feel led to.  We had a blast leaf decorating and frame creating! 🙂

They got to carve their pumpkins. 🙂

Isn’t Patrick’s the cutest little face you’ve ever seen?  Dominique said that he drew it himself! 🙂  So cute!!
