Grandpa Rapp began teaching the boys months ago how to stand on their heads. They’ve practiced for quite awhile. The other night, Grandpa came over to stay with them while Mom and Dad slipped out for dinner and they ecstatically showed him their progress.

Patrick’s preschool program was a blast as always. I relish watching my boys on stage. Even if they are a little lackluster in their performances. They talk about them for weeks leading up to them, so I know they really enjoy them. They know all the words and motions and practice them in the car and home. However, when it comes time to getting on the stage, they tend to get a little overwhelmed and freeze up. Gone are the smiles and all the enthusiasm I saw in their practicing. Oh well, they sure do look cute up there!

Okay, Elf Yourself really saddened me this year. Matthew asked when we were going to send out our Elf Yourself video for the year, so I got right on it….only to be horribly disappointed. First off, they’ve taken away the cute little dance you could chose from and just have you clicking through pics of each person dancing…I thought, surely I’ve missed something, so I started over checking out the site. Then I ran into a fantastic version of It’s Wonderful Life with us as the characters. Hilarious! I watched it and loved it (despite the H word sprinkled throughout…not sure why that was necessary as it was funny without those in there…anyway…), so I hit share only to find out that I had to pay $12 to do it! What? I know, I know, they’re a business and want to make money, but it started as a fun free little thing to do each year, but….no more.
So, while I wallow in sadness that I can’t show you Shannon and me starring in my favorite holiday movie, watch this slide show of pics……………………
