Merry Christmas!

I cannot get over how blessed we are.  I mean, I know Christmas is more than presents and stuff.  It’s about salvation and a God who loves us more than we can imagine.  But watching my children being showered with so much – watching my husband open his presents – playing with all my great gadgets and presents today – spending time with our wonderful families…I realized how spoiled and blessed we are.  There are so many on this day that don’t have the ability to do what we just did for our family.  I don’t know why we are so blessed when others struggle, but I am so extremely thankful to God.  I also recognize it could all end at any time. We could get that call from the doctor that changes everything.  My babies could go to school and never return.  We could have that meeting at work that says we can’t come back.  In those moments, it’s easy to run to God and say HELP!  So in this moment that we are so blessed, we’re going to enjoy it and praise God for all he’s done for us.

For some reason, I was behind on the picture taking and the few I did take were terrible!  Most weren’t in focus and …ugh.  You’ll truly enjoy Shannon’s and you can see what I did get.  Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas Eve

photoThis was too much for the boys this year.  As soon as the first present was out, Patrick found a way to find out what was in it.  It’s under debate if Mac had any part in the ‘peeking’ or not.  He’s still adamant that he had no idea, but Patrick has asked for three weeks now if he can ‘have his gun’ that is under the tree.   Once I was over being upset about them looking ahead of time, we decided this would be their one present to open on Christmas Eve. So…

IMG_4420 IMG_4431I think they were pretty stoked even having known ahead of time.  They kept saying over and over how thankful they were and how what awesome parents we are for getting them guns. 🙂
