The McMahon Family

For the first time, the boys had their Christmas programs on the same night! It will be the only time, but we’re thankful for what we can get!  In the past, my boys have gotten stage fright and even though they’re prepared, they lock up on stage and either don’t sing much or do motions.  As in the past, this year both boys practiced for weeks leading up to the night.  They knew the words and motions to all the words and were excited for the performance.  Once there, both headed off excitedly to their classrooms and I was looking forward to seeing them actually sing and do motions.

First up, Patrick.  I’m pleased to report, he came out smiling, participated with hand motions and sang the whole time. 🙂

And then Mac.  When the curtain opened, he looked like he was angry to be up there. And it didn’t get any better.  His looks alternated between anger, extreme boredom and a little nausea.  He did his motions with extreme lackluster.

At least he participated.

With the other McMahons soon off to their next post in Japan, we’re trying to squeeze in visits when possible before summer.  So, we headed down for Thanksgiving.

On the way down, we stopped for lunch.  While getting our drinks, Patrick couldn’t figure out how to make this coke dispenser work!  He pushed everywhere he could think of, except on the lever.  I was in shock that this is now an ‘old fashion’ coke machine!  He’s so used to the new touch screens and push buttons, that he couldn’t work the lever.  Once again, I was reminded that I am no longer in the younger generation…

Oh and watch Patrick ‘go high’!  Watch carefully, it’s fast, but it made me smile. 🙂

On Black Friday, we decided to hit Bass Pro Shops.  They had a cute winter wonderland set up and the kids even got to play with some of the toys.
