Disney Day 5

Day 5 was the water park day! We were so excited to go. The boys couldn’t wait to swim with Daddy. We arrived and began our way down the path. The kids found a look out spot and checked it out from afar.

Then we got down there. Sand everywhere. For me that meant trouble. My scooter doesn’t like sand. I don’t like sand because it’s annoying. After complaining for a moment, I found a place to park, secured our things so they wouldn’t get wet (including my phone/camera) and everyone went on their way. The boys went with Daddy to the wave pool and spent most of their time riding the enormous waves then ended the day with the lazy river. They had a great time. Mommy had an interesting time. I decided to sit on a bench seat at the back of the wave pool in the shallow area. I could watch the wave jumpers when the tidal waves came but be safely seated away from the actual wave. So I sat and observed for awhile. Then the warning siren sounded and saw the elderly couple sitting next to me bracing themselves. They were turning around and holding on to the back of our bench seats. I thought, Oh, old people. Can’t take a little splash from the wave? Haha.

Then the tidal wave hit. And I went flying into the old guy-next-to-me’s lap…I was not safe here! So for the next hour, every 2-3 minutes I braced myself against the rocks and tried not to go flying with each wave.

Once we were done trying to wipe all the sand off of us and all of our belongings…we were off to get ready for our safari dinner!

Disney Day 4

Day four brought another split in our party. The guys took the older kids to Universal Studios while Kristen and I stayed with the younger ones and swam at the hotel.

Patrick didn’t mind playing the arcade.

Disney Day 3

After the first two days of going nonstop, the kids really just wanted to swim at the hotel pool. Shannon said he could use a little relaxation as well, so we decided to rearrange schedules and the families went separate ways for the morning. The McMahon family opted to relax at the hotel, while the Pritts family went ahead to Animal Kingdom.  We had dinner reservations at Epcot, so we agreed to meet up there for the afternoon.

When we got to Epcot, the boys wanted to do Test Track again.

These dinner reservations were for adults only! So we took quick boat ride to drop the kids off at the activity center.IMG_2887

And we went to Canada to eat!

After dinner, we walked a couple of countries and did some shopping.  I kept envisioning the kids miserable and waiting anxiously for us.  Turns out, they had fun and everyone ended the evening in great moods. 🙂

Disney Day 2

Day 2 Was Magic Kingdom.  This was a really crowded place! But we did manage to get some decent shots of us all in front of Cinderella’s castle. 🙂

Once in the park, Daddy and Kristen needed some Starbucks, so we waited. And that’s when the grumpies arrived for Patrick.

Disney Day 1

The much anticipated trip arrived! We decided to save a little cash and drive it instead of fly…I wasn’t sure how that would go, but the way down wasn’t too bad. We stopped after 12 hours at a hotel for a quick sleep, then were up early Sunday morning to meet up with the Pritts at Disney! Patrick and I were the first ready.

If you ask Mac his ‘dream’ place to go or see, he’ll tell you Florida. So I was so super excited to be able to take him there! I made the family stop at the state line for our first photo op of the vacation.

When we arrived, we were super excited to find our room was in the baseball section of the resort.IMG_2249

After a few issues with rooms, we finally settled in then headed to Epcot!IMG_2253 IMG_2755 IMG_2779

First up was a ride I knew the boys would love. In Test Track they got to design their own race car, then race them! It didn’t hurt that there were real cars on display at the end of the ride. It took awhile to get them out of there.

Dinner each evening was fun. We made reservations at a different park each evening. The first night, Coral Reef. We dined next to huge fish tanks with sharks, huge sea turtles and manta rays.

We ended our first day in true Disney style…with great fireworks.

There’s no way to share all of our pics on this post. It would never load for you! So I’ve put them in an album and walked you through them with captions.
