The cousins came down from Chicago and we had them over to play for Friday evening and then headed to Curtis Orchard the next day. The weather was GORGEOUS and we had a blast!

Grandma’s first time at Curtis! Ever!

We decided to join her because she looked so cute in the big chair…it didn’t turn out at all like I was imagining…How do you sit in those things?!

Cousins

Pumpkin shoot-out! They even earned cider slushies by hitting the targets.

We ended the day with Daddy making them another cider slushie (slushy?) at home!

Grandpa Neukomm offered to take Mac out in the semi during the harvest this year. Since we had a long weekend, they headed out on our Monday off.

As you can see, he was miserable the whole time. 😉

Another one of our trees had to come down recently. So with the weather finally cooling down and a day off from work, we took a great evening and had a bonfire. We decided to roast hot dogs and s’mores too. Unfortunately, the fire was too hot, so we had to back it down to embers to cook the hot dogs, and even then it was almost too hot to do! But it was a success and we enjoyed our hot dogs and brats cooked over the bonfire!

Patrick looked at me at one point and said, “This is the best day!”

We went north for Eleanor’s birthday party and had a great time. The weather was perfect for an afternoon and evening on the deck.

Happy birthday, Eleanor! We love you and had a great time. 🙂
