Patrick had the parade and game for Homecoming weekend.

Patrick’s marching band season is off and running. He’s had football games, Band Day at the U of I and a competition so far. He has a solo on one song! I’ll try to get video soon of that.

Competition 1 was so hot they were allowed to play without full uniforms.

They earned second place and Best in Winds (Patrick’s group!).

Shannon and I had our first off-roading experience! We went to the Badlands Off Roading Park in Indiana and had so much fun! We got into a couple of tight spots, but worked our way out WITHOUT damaging the Bronco!

We spent a wonderful (but extremely hot!) week in Florida to end our summer break. I made the boys take a few family pictures and the guys took some great pictures of the beach and were kind enough to share them with me! You can see all of our pictures here.

For Christmas Luke gave Nicki and me a weekend stay in Chicago and tickets to a Cubs game. When we saw the date, we realized it was the weekend of Sandberg’s statue unveiling. So we decided to do that game, too! It was a fabulous weekend. We even got a Win!
