Patrick: “Stop it, Mac.”
Mac: “Hush, Patrick.”
Patrick: “Shush your mouf.”
Mac: “Patrick, that’s not nice. Be quiet.”
Patrick whispering: “Shush your mouf.”

Mac can ride a two wheel bike!! He is so thrilled. No need to say how proud Mommy and Daddy are of him. He earned his big boy bike with this newest conquest. He learned it at Meme’s. She said that she just gave him a few pushes and off he went. This video is one of his first tries. Then the last clip on the video is of him on his new bike going on his first bike ride with Daddy. Click the pic and enjoy! 🙂
To preface this conversation, Mac had a pretty rough day Saturday. One crying fit after another. We went shopping in the evening and had been listening to him cry about everything, all day.
So, in the car on the way home:
Patrick in an exasperated tone: “OH – MY – GOSH”
Mommy: “What’s wrong, Patrick?”
Patrick: “Doodlebug’s cryning.”
Mommy and Daddy: *Laughing uncontrollably, yet quietly as not to offend the Doodlebug.* 🙂
To be fair to Patrick, Daddy suggested I have a “Conversation with Patrick” post…
so here goes.
Tonight in the car after enjoying his sucker from El Toro:
Patrick: “Here, Mommy.”
Me: “You’re finished with your sucker?”
Patrick: “Sticky. Sticky. I need whipey.”
Daddy: Laughing.
Mac: “I can’t wait to get to heaven to see what kind of toys are there!”
Me: “Yes, it will be fun!”
Mac: “So…how long does it take to get back to here, home, from heaven?”
Me and Daddy: “Well, you don’t come back. Once you go to heaven, you stay there.” While thinking, how do we make this not a bad thing, yet be honest…and looking at each other like…uh…what do we say?
Mac: “Hmmm. But how long does it take to come back?”
Guess we’ll try again next year.
