Sign of the Times

Mac loves to make the truckers honk their horns.  When we commuted to St. Joe everyday, he had quite a few opportunities.  These days his chances are few and far between as we aren’t on the interstate for long stretches of time.  So this morning, he saw a semi and tried, but to no avail.

Mac:  Man!

Me:  They just don’t honk much anymore, do they?

Mac (in a matter of fact, yet slightly exasperated tone): No.  They’re always on their phones.

How Patrick Spends His Days

It’s a well known fact that I enjoy being a mom that works outside of the home.  I prefer it that way.  However, that doesn’t mean that I’m not torn leaving my kids each morning.  It does bother me that I don’t know how they spend their days.  It bothers me that I don’t know what they ate for lunch, what they played with, the little things that made them happy or sad throughout their playing, etc…SO, it makes me so happy that Amy has a great photosite just for the parents of her daycare kids.  I absolutely love that she does this, so I get to catch glimpses of Patrick’s days.  Here are just a few of the things he’s done this year with her so far.

Fun times at Curtis Orchard

And Dora...yeah...go figure.

Chef P

As you can see, he completely hates his days. 🙂  There are really adorable shots of him with his friends, but I refrained from sharing pics with other kids in them out of respect for privacy of the other families.  They’ve done picnics, played outside, had holiday parties and much more.

Bright, Sun Shiny Day

Nevermind it was a completely overcast day and the sun was nowhere to be found.

Another Conversation

I was looking back at older posts the other night (yes, those are my exciting weekends these days) and found the conversations with each of the boys.  They made me chuckle and thankful once again that I’m doing this blog to record all those little things.  Then yesterday, we had a another great one, so I thought I’d share.

Mac: I don’t feel five.  I still feel four.

Me:  Yes, as you get older, you’ll get that a lot. 🙂

Mac:  Except for this hand.  It’s feels bigger!

Huh?
