It’s Definite

I have the most gorgeous children.  Ever.

The morning of school pictures, both boys had a rotten time getting out the door.  Patrick kept saying over and over, “I’m not going to smile for my picture.”  Great, I thought.  I knew that was a promise he would keep.  I just knew.  But…I was wrong.

His first school picture.

The Smiling Pro

See? Gorgeous.

Open House!!

I wonder how long until the excitement of Open Houses and things that bring my into my children’s school wears off.  For now, it is still pretty high on my list of favorite things to do.  This year, we had two classrooms to visit!

First up was Patrick’s class.  For this assignment, he was to choose a friend to do handprints with.  He chose his teacher.  He has the whole ‘kiss up’ thing down! 🙂  While his teacher and I thought it was so sweet, he later told me that “Evan didn’t want to do it” with him.  That brought my happiness down a little thinking of my little boy being rejected.  Ah well, at least Charlotte is still his “bestest friend”.

They really do brush their teeth every day after lunch!  I have to admit, I didn’t believe Mac for the longest time.

Then on to Mac’s class where there were so many goodies to look at that I didn’t get pictures!  There were books, handwriting, journals, just to name a few, on top of the tour of the room and seeing what all he is learning.  I also got to talk to his teachers for quite awhile which thrilled me to no end.

Labor Day Weekend

We started the weekend off with swimming for the last time this season.  It was bittersweet.  So much fun to be at the pool again, but sad knowing that this was it.

We got to hang out with family enjoying meals and Putt-Putt.  Definitely a fun weekend for me! 🙂

Mac taught Grandma and Aunt Jean how to use the iPhone.

These are interesting robots that box.  Savannah won a free game, so Mac joined her and they battled it out.  Very weird.

I think we ran the boys ragged.  Patrick put himself down for a nap Monday.  We allowed him to rest for a bit before heading out to dinner with one of our favorite families, the Pritts’.

Check out all of our fun in the September album. 🙂
