Today’s Annoucement

“Mercedes and I decided not to get married.  She found someone else she wants to be with.  But we’re still going to be friends and play together. We still like to play.”

Phew.  But, I knew she’d break my baby’s heart…

The Reports

The boys got report cards this week.  Mac’s rocked as usual.  He even improved in his two struggle areas (self control and talking at appropriate times)!  But Patrick, this was his first report card!!  And it turned out as we expected really….

It started out really well.  If you’ll remember from Mac’s first progress report and my misunderstanding, G is what you want.  E is not what you want. Okay, it’s not bad, it’s just not as good as G. 🙂
Then I started to notice a trend…less G’s.

Bottom line:  he’s fine academically, still growing socially.  He seems to struggle with what we knew he struggles with… 🙂   I was a little disappointed with an E in saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’.  He’s really good with this around the house and when we’re out and about…but something we need to work on at school, I guess.  And for those of you who really know Patrick, you’ll enjoy the comments. 🙂

We were thrilled with both reports and took them out for milk shakes!

Crossing the Line

Okay, Shannon said that my F U B post was a little too much honesty.  I took it off, but saw on my site stats that eight people viewed it.  So if you read it, I apologize.  If you didn’t, be thankful. 🙂

Reason 492 why I love the Doodlebug

I had another great first with Mac.  He baked cookies with me!  Due to no snow day before Christmas break this year, I didn’t get Christmas baking done!  Then Mac gave me a cookie mix for Christmas that he made in class.  So we decided that tonight we would make the chocolate cookies and my favorite, peanut butter blossoms.  He was such a great help with everything…and very excited to crack his first eggs all by himself. 🙂  Each year he ‘helps’ but it’s usually more trouble and I end up so frustrated!  But this year was so different!

We took turns wearing the bow that came on the cookie mix present.

The best kiss peeler in the world.

Mac decided it should be our new “couple days after Christmas” thing we do. 🙂
