Swimming Update

Several people have asked for an update on Patrick’s swimming.  So here it is!  He’s actually even better than this.  This was one of our first times out and he’s gotten even better since.  It’s amazing. 🙂

Patio Transformation

We started our patio improvements a year ago.  With the purchase of our furniture, it is now complete and a great space that we hang out on almost nightly.

Thank you, Shannon.  This is all you.  I’m so proud of you.

Goodbye Training Wheels…for the last time

Watching Patrick on his bike, Shannon said he was ready to lose the training wheels.  I felt he was a little young.  I mean, I know Mac learned at 4, but he just seemed older and more ready.  And he didn’t really have to learn how.  He just took off.  What are the chances that both boys would get it right away?  Our neighbor girl practiced and tried for weeks! And she’s five.  I was not ready for it.  Not at all.

But Patrick heard and was overjoyed to try.  So, Daddy took him out this week and in 10 minutes, he had it!  The next day he worked on starting and stopping on his own and by the end of the day, he had it down.  I’m in shock.

Patrick Update

I was so great about catching many of Mac’s feats and firsts on video and sharing them.  With Patrick, they’ve always happened so fast and I don’t feel like I’m doing a very good job.  So here is one I thought to get on video!  He can pump on the swing!  (Warning:  My voice is LOUD but the boys talk very quietly in the video.  But they’re so cute if you can hear them!)

And just for fun, here was Mac, at the same age, learning how.

The Best Daddy

Ready for Daddy to open the presents.

Mac selected the card.  It took him a whole two seconds to see Bumblebee and exclaim, “Oh, Daddy’s going to love this one!”

Giving him the Transformers card.

Opening his dremel.

Brothers watching. I just love their stances.

And Mac explaining something…I’m sure teaching his dad how to use the tool.

Happy Father’s Day, Daddy. We think you’re the best.
