Patrick: So you don’t get to see your mom and dad every day. Doesn’t that make you sad?
Me: Sometimes. That’s why I go get my nails done with Grandma and go out to eat with her. And why we went to lunch with Grandpa yesterday.
Patrick: When I’m grown up, I’m going to try to see you a lot.
My heart hurt a little. But I’m glad he’ll still try to see me regularly. 🙂
