My Boys in a Snapshot

The boys have divided their room in half.  Each has his own play area.  It’s actually working quite nicely and they each have their own space and are quite kind about getting a toy for the other if it’s on the ‘wrong’ side.  I haven’t even had to go in the last couple of evenings to ‘police’ them.  So tonight, I went in to put laundry away and I got a great look at it.  This shot shows each of my boys perfectly.Notice Patrick’s side looks like a tornado went through.  That’s how he plays.  Just pulling toys out, emptying bins for no reason.  Not even to find something.  Just to empty them.  Then there’s Mac’s side.  All has been cleared away except for his cars…

…which are lined up along the wall baseboard, around the toy box and all along the bed (you can’t see those as well with the bed’s shadow).  I guess you have to know them to really appreciate this post.  I just got a kick out of it.  I love each of their quirks. 🙂

I totally love that you took these pictures and posted them. I shared a room with Lindsay for YEARS and no one believed that I was clean until we had our own rooms. You have saved Mac a lot of emotional distress by documenting this. And I totally adore Patrick’s passion for emptying. Halle is the same way. God bless them.
